This web site was created with Microsoft FrontPage 2000. Why would I do a thing like that? What about all the other nifty web tools in the world? Well, FrontPage is the designated HTML tool at my current job, and over the last couple of years, I have grown used to the way it works. It is relatively easy to create decent looking web pages and, if your ISP supports FrontPage extensions, it is ludicrously easy to maintain and update your page. If you are familiar with FrontPage, this site uses the Cypress theme for many of the pages. Early Pictures on this web site were either taken with a Fuji DX-10 digital camera (a Christmas gift from my aunt Mary, who immediately mentioned something about borrowing it) or scanned in via a HP PhotoSmart Photo Scanner, which can scan slides, 35mm negatives, as well as prints up to 5x7 in size. Pictures shown after March 2001 were taken with a Nikon CoolPix 880. This site is hosted by ValueWeb. That sounds like a goofy name for a hosting company, but they have very attractive features (200MB of storage, 20 POP mail accounts, huge bandwidth restrictions, full support for FrontPage, and much more), are relatively inexpensive ($16.95 a month, if you pay a year at a time), and are highly rated in reviews of web hosting companies. |
