Another year, another trip to paradise...

Nancy had a special, significant birthday this year, and she wanted to celebrate it on Maui.

So off we went to the Ka'anapali Beach Hotel!

Here is the stretch of beach in front (or is that behind?) the Ka'anapali Beach Hotel.  We spent a lot of time here.

Here we are, the happy family in the lobby.

Within minutes of our settling in, Madeleine had gotten herself wet and sandy and had to be hosed off.

Here we are building a sand castle.  There was much talk by Madeleine about the building of sand castles, but when it came down to it, it wasn't that exciting for her.

Now, turning herself into a sand castle was a different story.

And here we are again with another sand encrusted outfit.

The Ka'anapali Beach Hotel offers a free show every evening with hula dancers for the first hour or so.  They brought people up to learn the hula and Madeleine was keen to join in.

Of course, by joining in doesn't mean she didn't do her own thing when she pleased.

We did get out on the beach in our swim suits finally.
