December 31st was a busy day.  Nancy wasn't able to get any rest until after 2am (25 hours after we checked in) and even then sleep wasn't in the cards.  I caught about two hours on the cot in the room after we calmed down, but starting at 6am people started coming in to check on Nancy, draw blood, give us updates, and generally attend to the things a recovering mother and a new infant need. (With the exception of sleep!)

Finally, that evening, I was able to take some pictures to celebrate Madeleine's first 24 hours out and about.
