Madeleine Muriel MacWilliamson on New Years Day 2002!

Big events of the day mostly involved breast feeding.  Nancy and I spent over two hours at one point trying to get her to latch on and feed.  We also got two new visitors, Carlos and Kristina Chavez, as well as a visit from Nancy's mother, Brigitte, and her Aunt Renate.

I did three diapers by myself today, including a really messy one.

And then she gets her sucking action together with a little help from Mom's finger.

Madeleine gets held by somebody new. This is Kristina Chavez, who I think we put off a bit with a few too many details about child birth.

And this is Madeleine with Carlos Chavez, Kristina's husband, who, because he was the best man at my wedding, was required by law to actually hold the baby for a short duration.

But she finds a finger to tide herself over until she gets another shot at Mom's breasts.
