We have two cats, Felix and Oscar, both of whom are cute and
photogenic. Felix's aim in life is to get his tummy rubbed and to get to
the food dish before Oscar. Oscar has wider ambitions. He likes to
get his nose into everything. Because of this, we tend to shout the words,
"Oscar! No!" more frequently than we would like.
No longer content to wait for laundry to be placed on the bed, Oscar starts
sitting directly in the laundry basket.
Oscar buries himself in sheets just out of the dryer.
Oscar, bored with his own sleeping spot, comes in and tries to take over
Felix's spot.
The classic pose. There is a loud noise. Nancy and I
investigate. All we find is Oscar hiding. Another unsolved mystery.
Oscar decides to see what the inside of my sweats are like.
Oscar curious about what is behind the shower door.
Oscar curled up on a hard drive I just purchased. Nobody told him that they are
only warm when they are running.
Oscar on top of my computer monitor.
Oscar (and Felix) decide that the orthopedic mattress pad is quite comfortable.
Oscar decides to go one better and gets inside the rolled up mattress pad.
Then he gets further into the pad. Later he ended up about mid-way down
the pad.
Oscar confused as to why we are chasing him from what he believes to be his new
crib.
Oscar perfectly comfortable in the new bassinette.
Oscar
tries out the dangling toys in the baby bouncer. He was upside-down and
playing in this less than 5 minutes after I assembled it.
Oscar getting in the Boppy pillow to play with the Gymini before we can get
Madeleine out to the family room. Felix appears to be his lookout in the
caper.
Oscar in double trouble. First he has run off with Madeleine's
rattle. Then he has halted to start carefully peeling the double sided
tape off of the bottom of the couch; tape which was placed there to keep him
from clawing the couch to shreds.
Oscar not actually in trouble, but in something else... a pillow! Oscar
climbed inside the pillow case to take a nap.
Oscar knocks over a basket of clean laundry on the bed to make himself a nice
warm place to sleep.
Oscar, who cannot read the words "fragile" and "Do Not
Drop," knocks over a box and climbs inside. Those are his feet and
tail. Felix watches.
Oscar testing to see how "cat proof" the cover on Madeleine's crib
really is.
Oscar (and Felix) decided to get up on our tall dresser, then decided to start
knocking things off of it.
Later, Oscar encamped among my sweat shirts. You can see him well in the
mirror on the dresser.
Oscar has decided that the rug in Madeleine's room was put there for him to make
a tent.
And if he isn't curling up in the rug, he's trying to squeeze into one of her
dresser drawers for a nap.
Oscar also shows an interest in Madeleine's little bath tub, which we keep in
the regular tub.
More of the "Oscar Under Things" Theme. Oscar under Madeleine's
play blanket in the family room.
An action shot. Aiming for the Gymini, we hear, "On You Mark, Get
Set..."
"... GO!" Oscar dives under the Gymini.
And, with so many choices in the room, Oscar decides that Madeleine's car seat
is the best place to take a nap.
The crib was left unguarded again...
Oscar decided that he fits in with Madeleine's plush toys.
Oscar caught napping under the Gymini again. We only caught this because
we noticed a lump under the Gymini when taking a picture of Madeleine.
