Quality Assurance Engineer - November 1997 to April 1998 Aveo was formerly known as Cypress Research, and was called that for most of the time that I worked there. I worked on their OEM, personal computer-based telephony products that came with computers from companies like Gateway, Micron, Compaq, and Dell. Aveo's main product was Attune which involved what one might refer to as "pre-emptive tech support." That is to say, it warned you not to do something bad before you actually did it. This product was available on Dell computers for a short time. On January 12, 2001 Aveo laid off about 1/3 of their staff, including engineers and QA people. The assets of Aveo have since been purchased by another company, who in turn was acquired. And here I am stuck with another 87 Aveo business cards. Maybe I should go try to sell Chevy's. |
