Some Random Pictures From The Global Village Days Rockwell International created a modem "super" hero, Baudman. While his super powers were never enumerated, I imagine one of them was the ability to actually get a 56K connection with a 56K modem. Rockwell encouraged us to include Baudman in our ads. We declined. A truly bad bit of marketing that shows exactly where GV's brains were when considering the Windows modem market.
Pictures taken with a Connectix QuickCam in my cube. Low quality, but this was 1995!
More QuickCam pictures, only me with a beard this time. (I had several beards at GV.)
Of course, not everybody wanted to appear on the QuickCam.
We used to leave the QuickCam running in TimeLapse mode overnight. Notice the clock in the foreground? Our solution for a time stamp! Here Marvin and Camtu Tran wonder what this camera is filming at 7:40am.
